An Afternoon with Mickey Harte

Charlestown Sarsfields GAA Club in association with Harrington Concrete and O’Donnell’s TotalHealth Pharmacy are hosting a very special event on Friday 31st March 2017.

‘An afternoon with Tyrone legend Mickey Harte’ will be held in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin and is a fundraiser to raise much needed funds for critical improvements to club facilities.

Mickey Harte, current manager of the Tyrone Gaelic football team, is renowned as one of the shrewdest managers in the game today. Considered one of the best tacticians in the game, Harte is admired both by peers and former rivals. He has led his team to three All-Ireland titles, five Ulster titles, one National League, and nine Dr. McKenna Cups to date, making him the most successful Tyrone inter-county manager of all time. He has delivered motivational and leadership talks throughout the country and successfully links business and sport where he relates his experiences of teamwork within the competitive world of sport and how it applies in the business environment.

The event will also feature a panel discussion with sporting personalities from the GAA world as former Mayo players, turned radio pundits, Billy Joe Padden and John Casey will join Dublin legend and Sunday Game contributor Ciáran Whelan on stage for an afternoon of serious football talk and serious craic!.

The infamous ‘Battle for the Hill’ of 2006 will be up for discussion, as well as some of the more recent blockbusters between the counties.
Some other well known GAA stars from the current day will also make an appearance and be available for meet and greet and photo opportunities. It promises to be an event to remember.

Our host for the afternoon will be well known comedian and presenter, ‘Aprés Match’s’ Barry Murphy.

The Charlestown Sarsfields club is the lifeblood of the local town and fundraising efforts are critical to ensuring the club can bring its facilities to the required standard to give our kids the best platform to reach their potential. We would be extremely grateful for any support your business can provide for this event.
