Hello folks,
The flights were booked this morning and it’s starting to get real at this stage. The flight details are as follows;
Departing on the 7th of April from Dublin on EI 105 at 10:50 and arriving in JFK at 13:20.
Returning on the 12th of April from JFK on EI 108 at 21:00 and arriving back into Dublin at 08:40.
Flights are with Aer Lingus and we hope to have a nice surprise for all travelling on the outbound journey (it’s not first class seats by the way, but it’s not far off it).

Transfers to and from both Dublin and Manhattan will be provided. You will have received the final costs based on your room choice in the group text and at this stage you need to be aiming for having the total ready for the start of February. It’s not time for packing the bags yet but it would be no harm to check the following:
- Make sure you have travel insurance. Players will be covered for the game but everyone needs to ensure that they have cover in the event of having to cancel their trip or requiring medical care. The costs of medical care in America are astronomical. Single trip travel insurance is not expensive.
- Check your passport is valid for traveling on the dates and for 6 weeks after our return date. U.S. Immigration are very strict and the passport office takes a few weeks to process applications/renewals.
- Manhattan is an expensive city, a bottle of beer costs €6-€7 and food ain’t cheap either. You need to budget a minimum of $200 a day.
- We will be expecting everyone to stay together on the Saturday of the trip. We plan on having breakfast as a group before travelling to Gaelic Park for the game. We will also be having a function in The Irish Pub on 54th & 7th that night with food and music.
