Charlestown U10 and U8 girls went on tour on Saturday to participate in the Aoife Regan Memorial Shield in ‪#‎Kilmoveegaa‬. The U10 girls entered two teams, Charlestown Sarsfields and Charlestown Starlings and played Kilmovee and Swinford Kilasser Ladies in the semi finals. Charlestown Starlings progressed to the final vs Kilmovee and the Sarsfields played the runners up final vs Swinford K. The Starlings were victorious in the final and were happy to accept the shield for their club. The Sarsfields had a very close match against Swinford K but the wind in the second hand proved difficult and Swinford K took the honors for third place.
Our Under 8’s played a great exhibition match vs Kilmovee and ended with a fair result..a draw! All players received a medal and were very well fed by a well organised committee at Kilmovee
