As the 2017 All-Ireland Football Final beckons, excitement in the county is again at fever pitch!
If you are looking for the best preview show in town, ahead of what will be another memorable clash between 2 of Gaelic Footballs heavyweights, then the place to be is KD’s Bar Charlestown, on Saturday night, the 9th September.
A magnificent line up of guest speakers and panelists has been assembled, many of whom are well regarded within the national press, some not so much! 😉 There will I’m sure be stories recounted from past glories, some secrets revealed and the odd fuzzy memory recalled too perhaps! Laughter and craic is guaranteed!
MC for the night is the acclaimed broadcaster Mike Finnerty, chief sports editor with the Mayo News and of course Sky Sports commentator. He will have his hands full mind you with this lot, a panel with plenty of experience and opinion in all things GAA.
They include:
– Former Meath footballer, (current friend of Mayo GAA) and RTE pundit Bernard Flynn, and he assures me he will have his selfie stick with him! We look forward to his analysis and thoughts ahead of Sept 17th!
– Sunday Game pundit Dessie Dolan of Westmeath will also be in attendance offering his insights ahead of the big one, he has a sneaky feeling about Mayo I am led to believe…!
– Our neighbour from across the border also has an opinion to share on where he believes Mayo’s chances lie, former All Star Eamonn O’Hara of Sligo and Tourelestrane joins us on the night.
– Former Charlestown and Mayo footballer/legend, our very own John Casey will also be with us, recounting his journey with Mayo and giving his insights regards this 2017 crop.
– John’s former club teammate, and current Sarsfields starlet Aidan Higgins, still going strong 11 years after his very own All Ireland appearance in the Green and Red also has his say. He still believes he should be playing on the 17th I would guess! 😉
– Another man who knows all too well about All Ireland Finals in the Green and Red, and a former teammate of many on this year’s Mayo squad, Mickey Conroy will also be knocking around, he might just have a few more stories worth hearing!
– Finally, the superstar and phenom that is Cora Staunton is also dropping by, she certainly knows what it takes to win an All-Ireland with no less than 4 medals in the back pocket. She truly is a legend of the game, and here’s hoping come the big night in KD’s she will be preparing for another All Ireland Final of her own with the Mayo Ladies.
This is sure to be a fantastic night full of light-hearted humour, entertainment, discussion, debate and discourse. It is definitely not a night to be missed by any GAA fans out there, and demand for tickets, may just outweigh supply for this one so be sure get yours early.
There will also be an in house raffle with 2 x All Ireland tickets to this year’s final on offer as top prize. Other prizes include Manchester United match tickets, Mayo merchandise and much much more!
Please Note: This is an over 18’s event, and is strictly ticket only, so please don’t delay in securing yours.
