Bord Na N’Og Duck Race 2016

The annual Bord Na N’Og Duck Race 2016 takes place tomorrow Sunday 20th March at 1315, after 12 O’Clock Mass.
The ducks are rearing to go after wintering in the Maldives but make no mistake they have been acclimatising to cooler temperatures of Mayo with some Ice bath theraphy under the watchful eye of current “Ice bath” champion Podsie Horkan.
The senior team management have also looked over the field and Ronan Kenny was heard remarking that “duck number 437 looks particulary nimble over wet ground”.
Earlier fears that the ducks would hop the finish line at the pipe, were unfounded and a breakout to the Moy looks unlikely, as the dry weather has allowed the course to dry out sufficently to ensure that the race will be a quick one and a possible world record time is on the cards.
There are still a few quackers there to be backed so snap them up as there will be no “in play” betting on the outcome after the off.
Thanks to all who have supported so far.
