A dominant display saw the Sarsfields run out victors over Ballina by a scoreline of 4-12 to 3-2.
Charlestown opened a gap early in the first quarter with a brace of goals from the energetic Jack Corley.
Ciaran Honeyman controlled the midfield in the early stages, cutting out any Ballina attacks.
When Ballina did find themselves in the the attacking third they were marshalled well by the impressive Seamus Doherty and goalkeeper Rory Redmond proving his worth between the sticks.
The younger members of the panel were equally impressive with Daniel Harrington, Conor Gavaghan in defense and James Conway and Niall Towey in attack.
